The Fishery Boat Ramp
The Fishery Boat Ramp – A private boat launch situated in the scenic Columbia River Gorge approximately 30 miles east of Portland. The Fishery boat ramp is located off Interstate 84 between Multnomah Falls and Bonneville Dam on the Oregon side of the Columbia River. Parking is $3 per vehicle. Pay inside store.

Directions from Portland on Interstate 84 East

  1. From Portland head east on I-84 for approximately 30 miles to Dodson / Warrendale
  2. Take Exit 35 – Historic Hwy / Ainsworth State Park
  3. Stay Right at the fork (follow sign towards Ainsworth State Park / Historic Hwy / Portland) and merge onto Historic Columbia River Hwy. at the yield sign. Go 0.2 miles
  4. Turn Right at the stop sign and go 0.3 miles while passing underneath I-84
  5. Turn Left at the next stop sign and follow the Dead End sign. Go 0.2 miles
  6. Turn Left on NE Enquist Place at the grey sign that says “The Fishery†and cross the railroad tracks. * Please use caution while crossing the tracks *
Rooster Rock Boat Ramp
Rooster Rock Boat Ramp – The boat launch at Rooster Rock State Park is located approximately 22 miles east of Portland off Interstate 84 at the entrance to the Columbia River Gorge. Parking is $5 per vehicle.

Directions from Portland on Interstate 84 East

  1. From Portland head east on I-84 for approximately 22 miles
  2. Take Exit 25 – Rooster Rock State Park and follow road to park entrance
  3. After entrance make a Left turn and drive through the park to the boat ramp
Chinook Landing Boat Ramp
Chinook Landing Boat Ramp – A 67 acre marine park on the Columbia River with 6 launch lanes. Chinook Landing is located off Interstate 84 approximately 15 miles east of Portland near the intersection of Marine Dr. and NE 223rd Ave. Parking is $5 per vehicle.

Directions from Portland on Interstate 84 East

  1. From Portland head east on I-84 to Fairview
  2. Take Exit 14 – Fairview Pkwy

  3. Turn Left at NE Fairview Pkwy (NE 207th Avenue) and go 0.4 miles
  4. Turn Right at NE Sandy Blvd / US-30 BYP (follow sign toward Blue Lake Park) and go 0.8 miles
  5. Turn Left at NE 223rd Ave. (which first turns into NE Blue Lake Rd. and then turns back to NE 223rd Ave.) and go 1.1 miles
  6. Turn Left into Chinook Landing entrance which is on your left after you pass underneath Marine Drive
42nd Street Boat Ramp
42nd Street Boat Ramp (M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp) – A Portland Metro Parks boat launch located on the Columbia River off Marine Drive just east of downtown Portland. The 42nd Street boat ramp is situated approximately halfway between the I-5 Bridge and the I-205 Bridge by the Portland International Airport near the intersection of NE 43rd Ave. and NE Marine Dr. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Use self-service pay station located at the top of the boat ramp.

Directions from south of Portland on Interstate 5 North

  1. Head north on I-5 to Portland
  2. Take Exit 307 – Delta Park (OR-99E) / Marine Drive toward Delta Park / Marine Drive East. Go 0.7 miles
  3. Turn Left onto N Marine Way and go 0.1 miles
  4. Bear Right onto N Marine Dr. and go 3.0 miles

  5. Turn Left into M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp (42nd Street Boat Ramp)

Directions from south of Portland on Interstate 205 North

  1. Head north on I-205 to Portland

  2. Take Exit 24B – Airport Way East and go 0.3 miles

  3. Merge onto NE Airport Way and stay to the left. Go 0.7 miles

  4. Turn Left onto NE 122nd Ave. and go 0.2 miles

  5. Turn Left at NE Marine Dr. and go 4.7 miles

  6. Turn Right into M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp (42nd Street Boat Ramp)

Directions from Washington on Interstate 5 South

  1. Head south on I-5 towards Portland and cross into Oregon on I-5 Bridge
  2. Take Exit 307 – MLK Jr. Blvd. (OR-99E) / Marine Dr. and merge onto N Marine Dr. towards MLK Jr. Blvd. / Marine Dr. East / OR-99E S. Go 0.5 miles
  3. Stay Straight on N MLK Blvd. (OR-99E). Go 0.2 miles
  4. Take the ramp onto N Marine Way towards Marine Dr. East / I-5. Go 0.3 miles
  5. Bear Right onto N Marine Drive and go 3.0 miles
  6. Turn Left into M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp (42nd Street Boat Ramp)

Directions from Washington on Interstate 205 South

  1. Head south on I-205 towards Portland and cross into Oregon on I-205 Bridge
  2. Take Exit 24 – Airport Way towards Portland Airport and go 0.3 miles
  3. Turn Left at NE Airport Way and go 1.0 mile
  4. Turn Left at NE 122nd Ave. and go 0.2 miles

  5. Turn Left at NE Marine Dr. and go 4.7 miles
  6. Turn Right into M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp (42nd Street Boat Ramp)
